Our Story
Bearbrick burst onto the designer toy scene in 2001 when Japanese lifestyle brand MEDICOM TOY introduced the first 1000% size figure. With its minimalist design and stylized bear shape, Bearbrick struck a chord with artists, designers, and toy collectors around the world.
The blank canvas of a Bearbrick figure allows artists to reimagine the iconic form through different mediums like painting, sculpting, and graphics. Each artist brings their own unique aesthetic and style. Collaborations with major brands like Supreme, Disney, DC Comics, and more have introduced Bearbricks to mainstream audiences.
We opened our online store in 2022 as dedicated Bearbrick collectors and fans. Our mission is to curate an exciting collection of authentic Bearbricks for fellow enthusiasts. Beyond the store, we want to build a community that celebrates the creativity and artistry behind these designer toys.

Founder: Lee Robertson
Lee first discovered Bearbricks in the early 2000s and was hooked by the creativity these blank canvases allowed. With an eye for art and design honed as a graphic designer, he has an instinct for picking remarkable Bearbricks. Lee oversees curation and storytelling.
Creative Director: Amanda Simmons
With a background in marketing, Amanda handles branding, partnerships, and experiences. She connects with collectors and artists to grow our community. Amanda also ensures our voice and aesthetics authentically represent Bearbrick culture.
Operations: Tyler Coleman
Detail-oriented and logical, Tyler keeps day-to-day operations running smoothly. He ensures authentic products, efficient fulfillment, and excellent customer service. Tyler’s financial expertise also informs smart business decisions.
